The short version
- The Agentic Index covers 17 trades today. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, construction, landscaping, handyman, painting, welding, carpentry, auto service, appliance repair, pest control, decks and outdoor, marine structures, swimming pools, and solar power.
- New trades go up roughly one per week, on a Sunday schedule, based on which trades get the most requests through the form on this page. Tell us yours and we'll add it to the queue.
- Three tools already work for almost any trade. Per The Agentic Index tools.json feed, Quo ($19/mo), QuoteIQ ($30/mo), and Jobber ($39/mo) show up in the recommended set for 14 to 17 of the 17 trades we currently cover.
- A local AI consultant works across trades. Most pros in the directory have set up these tools for plumbers, HVAC, electrical, and other trades. The setup playbook for a locksmith or fence builder looks a lot like the one for a plumber.
- You don't need to wait for your trade's page to find a local AI pro or to get started with the cross-trade tools.

Which AI tools work across almost any trade?
Three of the seven tools we recommend on most trade pages show up in 14 to 17 of the 17 trades we cover. If your trade isn't on the directory yet, start here. Pricing reflects published vendor information as of May 2026.
| Tool | Category | Use case | Starting price | Setup time | Trades covered |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quo | AI phone | Business phone, after-hours coverage, voicemail summaries | $19/mo | 1-2 weeks | 17 of 17 |
| QuoteIQ | AI quoting from photo | Tech takes a photo of the job, software drafts the estimate | $30/mo | 1-2 weeks | 17 of 17 |
| Jobber | Scheduling and dispatch | Routing, invoicing, customer messaging for shops up to 15 trucks | $39/mo | 2-4 weeks | 15 of 17 |
A solo or 2-truck shop in any trade can run on Quo plus QuoteIQ for under $50 a month. Add Jobber when scheduling gets complicated. Verify current pricing directly with each vendor before purchase.
What trade owners actually ask when their trade isn't on the directory yet
Straight answers to what owners actually ask. Use the form below to add your trade to the queue.
My trade isn't on the directory yet. What should I do?
Fill out the short form on this page with your trade name, your location, your shop size, and the AI tool problem you'd want solved. We add new trade pages based on demand from real owners. The more requests we get for the same trade, the sooner it goes up. We'll email you when your page is live. In the meantime, the cross-trade tools listed above (Quo, QuoteIQ, Jobber) already cover most of what a small service business needs.
Are there AI tools that work across almost any trade?
Yes. Per The Agentic Index tools.json feed, three tools show up in the recommended set for 14 to 17 of the 17 trades we currently cover. Quo (formerly OpenPhone) at $19 a month handles the business phone and after-hours calls. QuoteIQ at $30 a month handles photo-based quoting. Jobber at $39 a month handles scheduling, dispatch, and invoicing for shops up to about 15 trucks. A solo operator or 2-truck shop in almost any trade can start with these three regardless of specialty.
Can a local AI consultant help with a trade you don't cover yet?
Yes. The local AI consultants listed in the directory work across service businesses, not just the 17 trades we have pages for. A consultant who has set up AI for plumbing or HVAC shops can usually do the same work for locksmiths, glass repair, fence builders, snow removal, fire safety, or any other small service business. The underlying tools and the setup playbook are similar enough that trade specialty matters less than shop size.
How long until my trade gets its own page?
It depends on demand. We add roughly one new trade page per week on a Sunday schedule, prioritizing the trades that get the most requests through this form. If you're the third or fourth person asking for the same trade in a month, expect a page within 2 to 4 weeks. Single-request trades can take a few months. Either way, we email everyone who requested the trade when the page goes live.
